Movie Talk meets the fourth Friday of every month in the Fireside Room from 7 - 8:30 p.m.  This group is a movie discussion group led by Jeff Drushal and is open to everyone. This is not just for church folks, so be sure to invite friends. It’s BYOB, with some light snacks offered.

Meditation Group meets the first Monday of each month from 7-8:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room.  Led by Amber Keating, this group will focus on breath-work and meditation to calm the body and mind, as well as reconnect with God.  If prayer is asking God for something, then meditation is receiving God’s answers/gifts.  We will practice together and encourage one another in bringing meditative practices in our daily lives. 

Spark Creative Workshop meets monthly from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the church library. Writers, artists, musicians, photographers and dreamers are invited to work on projects in a supportive environment.  Facilitated by various leaders.

Ubuntu meets Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Ryan and Melissa Chaddick in Pasadena.  This group will seek Spiritual growth using N.T. Wright's book on Philippians.

Feed the Homeless meets the last Saturday of the month in the church kitchen to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and bag lunches from non-perishable items 9:00  -10:30 a.m. This ministry is supported by a grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Care Abounds in Communities program.

Feminine Sacred Circle is an attempt to balance the patriarchal tradition of the Bible. It meets various Sundays from 12:00-1:30 p.m. in the church library.  All are welcome, discussion, drumming and guided meditation are all parts of this faith sharing opportunity.  Facilitated by Melanie Ronning.

Growth Group meets every other Thursday from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the church library for prayer, study and support. Growth group participants will discuss a book sharing their experience, struggles, ask questions, and learn from each other.  Currently studying The Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz and the Ten Commandments and the Ten Commandments discovering how these simple tools help us grow spiritually and live a more fulfilled life.  Facilitated by Kenny Callaghan.

Book Club meets the third Tuesday of the month at the home of Pastor Devol. Books discussed are on a variety of topics they are all fiction.

Great Events Lunch Bunch meets the third Wednesday of the month at 11:00 a.m. for a community outing and a festive lunch. 

Adult Forum meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room, for Bible Study.

St. Matthew’s Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. inthe church with a light snack available in the narthex/lobby at 7:10 p.m.  The choir also rehearses Sunday morning at 9:40 a.m. in the church.  All are welcome.  Email Kenny Callaghan stmattskenny@gmail.com if you have any questions.
